Baby beaver born on Exmoor for first time

There are many cases that have been reported from all over the world, meanwhile, another case has come to light in which an otter cub was born for the first time after 400 years in Exmoor, England. The park officials are very excited to see the little cub floating with his family in the water. The camera footage showed 6-week-high otters swimming in a family lodge with their mother in a large enclosure of the Holnikot estate in Somerset.

However, the park officials had already received information that the cub was to be born. In spring, the male started dragging more wood and vegetation near his den. Jack Siviter, one of the rangers at holnikot estate, said that before the birth of young otters, "the female had also changed her normal habits and left the male otter to work alone."

The mother was named Grylls for the first time after television adventurer Bear Grylls. Rangers said they were particularly happy to see that the female had a cub because she had become an orphan at an young age. He said young otters live with their parents for nearly two years before going to build their own area. Ben Erdley, project manager at the National Trust, explained that "this is really important because otters are doing a lot that we want to see in terms of conservation and land management. They are helping in natural processes and giving opportunities for many other wildlife."
