Focuses on envisioning experiential learning as a key aspect for growth Jaipur 18th January 2020: Bhartiya Skill Development University, known to offer only skill based programs in India organized an Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp in association with Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Govt. of India (EDII) under DST-NIMAT Project. The Camp was organized with an objective of discussing entrepreneurial experiences and discussing opportunities for entrepreneurs through experiential learning. . BSDU offers Skill Certificate, Diploma, Advance Diploma, Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc), Master of Vocation (M.Voc) and Ph.D in various skill areas. The event was hosted by BSDU and its faculty and dignitaries present during the event were Smt Suchi Sharma IAS (Rajasthan 2002) presently Secretary to Government, Technical & Higher Education, Jaipur, Dr. Lavina Mittal Senior Lecturer- Beauty Culture Govt. Women Polytechnic Jaipur. Brig. Surjit Singh Pabla, Pro-Chancellor, BSDU said, “It’s a great experience to host such discussions at the University Campus. The whole concept of the Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp was designed and envisioned to offer the best experiential learning to the students from the School of Entrepreneurship Skills. BSDU’s model has been designed on the Swiss Dual System of training where more focus is given on ‘On the job training’ and not just pushing theoretical knowledge. We take pride in mentioning that we are the only University, whose model has been very well appreciated by not just industry partners but the government as well.” The event witnessed dignitaries from the industry such as Mr. Vivek Basal, Master Card, London, he gave insight on UK Based Education System: Discussing Opportunities for Entrepreneurs through Experiential Sharing and Ms. Pooja Jain Kasliwal, HR Expert, Bhopal shared the importance of Human Resources for entrepreneurs. The curriculum in this only skill based or “Vocational School” has been adopted with due modifications to suit the requirements of the Indian industry. School of Entrepreneurship Skills is a new school being established by BSDU with came into effect from the academic session 2018-19. The Entrepreneurship Skill Sector has a very large scope for skill education in a variety of related skill areas. Like all other programs of BSDU, B.Voc Entrepreneurship Skills will also have multiple entry and exit option.” The event was unveiled with a poster presentation for International Conference- Global Innovations in Engineering & Management 17-19 April 2020 and was graced with the presence of BSDU Vice Chancellor- Mr. Achintya Choudhury, Registrar-Brig (Dr) S N Mishra, Dr. Ravi Kumar Goyal -Director Admissions & Principal- School of Entrepreneurship Skills along with Faculty members of SES.
