Bhopal: TV journalist murdered, motive unknown

In a bizarre incident, a 35-year-old journalist was found murdered near forest in Barkhedi area of Sukhisewania on Sunday afternoon. His head was smashed with a hard-object and the body was dumped there. The deceased Syed Adil Wahab was a resident of Ashoka Garden and was working with a local news channel in the city, police said on Monday.

He went missing on Saturday. As his number was not reachable, his relatives filed a missing person's complaint with the Ashoka Garden police at 2 am. The body was found by a passerby who informed the police. Sukhisewania police have registered a case and started a probe. Police said the family members of the deceased have not suspected anyone. He had left for MP Nagar in the afternoon and the last location of Wahab was in Piplani where he had spoken to someone. How did he reach Sukhisewania and where was he murdered will be probed, said police. Additional superintendent of police (ASP) Rajesh Singh Bhadauriya said police have found few persons who were closely associated with the deceased.
