WhatsApp postpones update of privacy policy after losing million users

People have stood against it after the recent decision on Whatsapp's privacy policy update. Now the Messenger app WhatsApp will decide to postpone its new update by May. The WhatsApp app is going to give the consumer an opportunity to understand the policy, remove confusion, and accept it is what has been said in a blog post on behalf of the company.

WhatsApp is end-to-end encrypted, meaning only a message’s sender and the recipient can read it, and those messages are not stored on Facebook servers. But WhatsApp is also pushing aggressively into messaging for businesses. In the blog post, the company said, "The last date for accepting the new policy update issued to us has been completely removed. No account will be deleted or suspended on 8th February. We are trying to convince people how Whatsapp works for privacy and security. We can dispel the confusion of the people. By 15th May, people will be able to review this new policy."

According to reports, the WhatsApp app was earlier to determine the date of 8th February to accept its term of facilities. It was a matter of sharing data with Facebook servers. In the blog post, WhatsApp wrote, "This app was built with a very simple idea. The aim was to stay connected with your friends and family. This means that your personal messages will remain up to you and it will neither be able to see WhatsApp nor Facebook. That is why we do not have any logs that contain information about people's messages or calls. We don't share your contact with Facebook and don't even see your location."
