Patna: With sudden floods in Nepal and persistent rains in Bihar force Bihar to suffer. In some districts of Purnia, Araria, and Kishanganj the water levels have reduced while Katihar towards other areas has been increased in water level. 72 people were killed as well as 73.44 lakh people in 14 districts are affected. 72 deaths so far: Flood affected area Kishanganj, Araria, Purnia, Katihar, East Champaran, West Champaran, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Gopalganj, Supaul 1.16 lakh people living in 504 relief camps: Due to floods, 110 block and 1,151 panchayats of these 14 districts have been affected and a total of 73.44 lakh population has been affected. It is being done at the war-footing by the state government to remove the people in the flood. So far, 2.74 lakh people have been evacuated from flood affected areas and 1.16 lakh people have been taken refuge in 504 relief camps. Rail services were also disrupted on Wednesday due to the flood.
