Bihar elections: Final results to come late at night, over 4 crore votes to be counted

Patna: According to Bihar Chief Electoral Officer H Srinivasan, around 34,000 polling stations have been increased this time due to which rounds have also increased. Some seats are counting in 24 rounds while some seats are to be counted for 51 rounds. Srinivasan has claimed that only 20% of the votes have been counted till 12.30 pm.

The Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar has claimed that this time the final results may come at 6-7 o'clock in the evening. So far, nearly 8 million votes have been counted, while the total number of votes is 4.10 crore. H Srinivasan further said that because the number of polling stations has increased this time and vigilance is being maintained due to corona crisis, there is a delay. According to data released by the Election Commission, nearly 80 lakh votes had been counted till 12 noon.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won the highest number of votes, while the second place is the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and JD(U) has emerged as the third-largest party. According to the information, the BJP got 15 lakh 89 thousand votes while RJD got 18 lakh 28 thousand votes. Jd(U) has become the third-largest party with 12 lakh 56 thousand votes.
