Even after a landslide victory in the Lok Sabha elections, the NDA government is witnessing a Chamki fever (Encephalitis) and the NITI Aayog report on health services. The NITI Aayog report also seeks to corner the opposition state government on the issue of Bihar's stay in the fissures. On the other hand, the opposition has taken an aggressive stand on the deteriorating law and order situation. Right now, the ruling party is visible on the backfoot.

Other opposition parties, including the RJD, have also started attacks on the ruling party. The opposition is going to make the death of 171 children from encephalitis the main issue. The RJD has also challenged the government saying that questions will be asked from the treasury benches and they are ready to respond. RJD spokesperson Bhai Virendra says that poor law and order, as well as drinking water will remain a major issue in the state. The RJD will also stick to the promise made by the central government in 2014 to build a 100-bed ICU in Muzaffarpur.
