Patna: Floods have severely messed up life in Bihar. About 50 lakh people in 14 districts have been affected due to the floods. Due to the floods, millions of people are forced to live on the roadside by becoming homeless. It is being claimed by the government that relief and rescue operations for the flood victims of 112 blocks of 14 districts of the state are being carried out with full power. Financial assistance is also being provided to the flood affected people by the government. Till now, assistance of 6-6 thousand has been sent to the bank account of one lakh 94 thousand families affected by the flood. The work of reaching the money among the remaining affected people is going on. 1340 community kitchens are being run in many places of flood affected people, in which about 9 lakh people are eating daily. This is the claim of the government. Traffic on the roads in flood-affected districts has been greatly affected. Transport has come to a standstill in many districts. Water is flowing from many NHs and SHs. Transport has stopped on the Chhapra-Muzaffar NH 722. In Motihari, SH 74 is also closed due to running of trains. Four feet of water has been filled on the road near Bacha Prasad Singh College. The biggest problem for flood affected people is with young children. Apart from this, cattle have to struggle a lot to raise fodder.
