Patna: Bihar has been awarded the award for providing financial assistance directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries during the crisis period of global epidemic coronavirus. During the Corona epidemic, he has been awarded the Digital India Award because of the Bihar government's initiative to transfer money directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries. According to the media report, these awards started this year by the central government have been received by many departments of the Bihar government. In an official statement on Sunday, it was said that these awards have been given for innovative steps in e-governance. During the corona period, more than 21 lakh trapped labourers of Bihar were provided financial assistance through "Bihar Sahayad Mobile App". According to the statement, besides the Chief Minister's Secretariat, the state's National Informatics Center, the Disaster Management Department has been jointly selected as the winners for the Digital India Awards 2020 in the "epidemic category". President Ram Nath Kovind will felicitate the winners with the Digital India Award on 30 December in New Delhi. Digital India Awards have been instituted under the aegis of National Portal of India.
