PATNA: Bihar's mining minister Dr. Ramanand Yadav has filed a defamation case against Bharatiya Janata Party Rajya Sabha parliament member Sushil Kumar Modi in a district court here. In his petition, Yadav asserted that Sushil Kumar Modi referred to him as "Bahubali" and a criminal during the swearing-in ceremony of Nitish Kumar government's cabinet expansion in August. "Sushil Modi publicly said Ramanand Yadav, Lalit Yadav, Surendra Yadav, and Kartikeya Singh are the tainted legislators Sushil Modi made a conscious effort to damage my political reputation. Hence, I filed a lawsuit in the Patna district court on Tuesday," Yadav said. He said that case was filed under IPC sections 153A, 499, and 500. Sushil Kumar Modi had earlier claimed that Ramanand Yadav was facing significant allegations, including extortion, taking stolen weapons and ammunition, retaining illegal weapons and ammunition, and keeping items that had been taken from him. He is a Bahubali commander who has been arrested in Patna for violating the arms legislation as well as other accusations. We have called on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to remove him from his position as minister of mining. Ramanand Yadav said that Sushil Kumar Modi has disproportionate assets, which sparked a political brawl between the two. He owns shares in Khetan Market and a mall in the Lodipur location of Patna in the names of his kin. He is the biggest Bahubali in Bihar. Ramanand Yadav responded by claiming that Susil Kumar Modi was the biggest Dabang and Bahubali leader in Bihar on August 19. He seized the Lodipur and Khetan Market lands. I won't let him leave. We will look at the properties listed in his name, his wife's name, his brother's name, and his brother's wife's name. Then, Sushil Modi pressed him for proof or else he would sue him for defamation. A few days later, he filed a Rs 5 crore defamation lawsuit in the Patna district court against Yadav. To challenge Sushil Kumar Modi, Ramanand Yadav filed a defamation lawsuit.
