Big success of Bihar Police, two arms smugglers arrested from Chaibasa

Patna: Four people, including two smugglers who supplied arms in Chaibasa from Munger district of Bihar, have been arrested by the police from Janata Niwas. Police have seized pistol, bullet and other items from their possession. Those arrested include Nagamani Paswan, a resident of Harpur village under Mufassil police station in Munger district, Varun Yadav, resident of Kanchangarh under Mufassil police station in Munger district, Vikram Ram and Pankaj Ram, residents of Badi Bazaar, Chaibasa.

The vehicle used to supply arms has also been recovered by the police. Giving information, Sadar SDPO Amar Kumar Pandey said that on October 13, secret information was received that two people had come to supply arms at Madhu Bazar, Janata Niwas in Chaibasa. On the basis of the information, raids were conducted from Janata Niwas to Nagmani Paswan and Varun Yadav of Munger.

In the course of interrogation, the two accused stated that the weapons were demanded by Vikram Ram and Pankaj Ram, who belong to the big market of Chaibasa. A pistol, seven bullets were recovered during a raid on his house. This bullet was brought from Munger district by Nagamani Paswan and Varun Yadav and handed over to Pankaj Ram. The two arrested Munger accused have confessed to supplying pistols and bullets to other people in Chaibasa city as well. After this, both have been sent to jail.
