Srinagar: A major revelation has come to light in the investigation of the terrorist attack in Sunjwan, Jammu. According to this, a truck driver was also instrumental in the terrorist attack. The name of this driver has been described as Bilal Ahmed Bage. Bilal is arrested along with his associate Ishfaq. His mini truck Tata 407 has also been confiscated by the police. In this attack on 22 April 2022 (Friday), one ASI of CISF was martyred and 5 other jawans were injured. In retaliation, two terrorists were killed by the security forces.
Both the killed terrorists belonged to Jaish-e-Mohammed. According to media reports, the truck driver Bilal Ahmed had brought the terrorists from Kashmir to Jammu. On 20 April 2022 (Wednesday), 4 terrorists had crossed the border for this attack. All of them had to come to Jammu, but due to less space in Bilal's truck, only 2 terrorists could come to Jammu. A secret hideout was also made in the truck to secure the terrorists. The police are now searching for the places from where the terrorists had entered the border. At the same time, the investigation team is also trying to know whether there are other accomplices and ammunition of the terrorists at some other place. The police have also recovered mobile phones from the possession of both the terrorists. The data and other information present in it is being extracted. Some videos have also been found in the mobile, which is being investigated.
A video of this attack also surfaced. In this, a bus of CISF personnel is seen passing through Sunjuwan area. After sometime a bike rider passes by and then the sound of explosions is heard. Both the terrorists killed in this encounter were in the eye of a big incident. He was wearing a jacket filled with ammunition. Asif is being told the main conspirator of this terrorist attack. Her brother's name is Shafiq Sheikh. Shafiq had come to Sunjwan from Tral two months back. Here he stayed at the house of a man named Iqbal. During this time he also started working in a walnut factory. The police have arrested the landlord Iqbal. Shafiq and his brother Asif are said to be absconding. NIA is also probing this attack.
