Remembering Nirupa Roy: Most popular mother of cinema had special relationship with Amitabh

Today is Nirupa Roy's birthday. Now Nirupa Roy is not in this world but people have not forgotten him till date because of his performance. Nirupa was known for her excellent characters. She has always played the role of mother in Bollywood. Nirupa was born on 4 January 1931 in Balsad, Gujarat and his real name was Kanta Chauhan. During that time his parents used to call him affectionately as Chhibi. When Nirupa was 14 years old, she was married to Kamal Balarasa, a rationing inspector. After marriage, Kamal and Nirupa moved to Mumbai.

Yes, Kamal really wanted to become a hero and one day he saw the ad of a Gujarati production house in the newspaper. His Flood Lotus gave the interview, but he was not selected. Nirupa, who went with him, was offered the female lead role in the movie Ranakdevi. After that the owner of Sunrise Pictures changed the name of Nirupa from Kanta to Nirupa Roy. This name became so famous on seeing that Nirupa Roy's husband also changed his surname to Roy. Nirupa Roy has previously done films that were based on Hindu mythology, or historical characters.

Her films included Har Har Mahadev, Nagpanchami, Shivakanya, Amar Singh Rathore, Rani Roopmati and Razia Sultan. Flood of these films he did social films like, Bardard Zamana, Do Bigha Zameen, Ghar Ka Modi, Kangan. She became famous with all these, but the flood of becoming the mother of actors and actresses gave her more populism and she became dominant in the industry. The role of Amitabh-Shashi's mother in the wall film shone with his lucky stars. After this film, Nirupa played the role of Amitabh Bachchan's mother in Marda, Suhag, Amar Akbar Anthony, Mukaddar Ka Sikandar.

It is said that in fact even Amitabh Bachchan used to respect Nirupa Roy like a mother. When Nirupa died in 2004, Amitabh Bachchan wrote on social media, "Today I have lost my mother." Currently Nirupa Roy is not in this world but even today she is inhabited in millions of hearts.
