BJP claims, dozens of TDP MLAs in contact with BJP

NEW DELHI: After the defection of four Rajya Sabha members of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), the BJP is now in touch with more than two-thirds of the TDP MLAs in Andhra Pradesh who may soon join the BJP.

According to information, the solution by Sunil Devdhar, the state in-charge of Andhra Pradesh and the BJP's national secretary, says that TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu and his family have been accused of corruption and the party's stronghold seems to be collapsing. He further said that several TDP MLAs are in touch with the BJP even though they have refused to share the number.

In an exclusive interview to IANS, Devdhar said that the TDP is now a party which has no future as Naidu's corruption has come to the fore. Devdhar has been the chief strategist of the BJP's historic victory in Tripura. Devdhar adds, "From the cash-for-vote scam to the various controversial government contracts given by his (TDP) government, Naidu is embroiled in corruption till his neck. Sources say that 16 to 17 TDP MLAs are in touch with the BJP and can leave with Naidu.
