Biopic showcases PM Modi’s journey from a simple man to the most powerful leader of the biggest democracy in the world. The film has been under the radar due to the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As per the opposition parties, PM Narendra Modi biopic is a pure propaganda film and they appealed before the Election Commission (EC) that the film violates the code of the conduct of campaigning and hence, the release should be postponed till the end of the Lok Sabha Elections of this year. However, now, BJP has responded back to the EC and has denied all allegations of connection with the release of the film. Not just this, BJP has even gone ahead and backed the release of the film as they feel if the movie doesn’t release, it would be a violation of freedom of speech and expression. EC had sought a response from saffron party on the same on the opposition’s request on April 1. Also, BJP stated that in the biopic, there is no content related to the General elections and thus, can’t be banned based on any violation of the code of conduct.
