Leaders of many parties in Jammu and Kashmir can join BJP

Srinagar: After the central government abolished Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, several efforts are being made to restore confidence in the state. The ruling BJP at the Center is now working towards becoming politically strong in the state. The BJP will run a membership campaign here for a few more days. In this regard, Chief of State Ravindra Raina and General Secretary Organization Ashok Kaul have held discussions with National Executive President JP Nadda in New Delhi.

Raina, who returned to Jammu from New Delhi, said that after the internet service came to a halt after August 5, the BJP's membership drive did not proceed online. Despite this, the BJP has added eight lakh new members to Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. If the figure of BJP members is added to the earlier five lakh twenty thousand members, then Jammu and Kashmir has gone above 13 lakh in Ladakh.

National Executive Chairman JP Nadda has praised the record made in the membership drive of the state BJP. According to him, till the restoration of internet service, the BJP will again cover the Anakwar areas by running a membership drive in Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, in the presence of BJP National Vice President Avinash Rai Khanna, on Saturday, 31 July, many people belonging to different parties and different sections of the society will join the BJP.
