Mumbai: Today, Former Union Minister of State and BJP leader Jayawantiben Mehta died due to a brief illness at the age of 78 years old. The former minister of state for power passed away at about around 1:25 am. According to Maharashtra BJP spokesperson Keshav Upadhye, “Her last rites will take place at 5.30 pm at Shivaji Park crematorium here”. Jayawantiben Mehta was appointed as the minister of state in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee cabinet in 1999.
