Patna: On the fifth day of the budget session in Bihar Vidhan Sabha, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Shreyashi Singh raised the issue of farmers in the House. The young MLA raised the issue of farmers of Jamui in its legislative constituency during the question-and-answer period in the House and informed the House about the disturbances in the paddy purchase. After Shreyashi raised the issue, Agriculture Minister Amarendra Pratap Singh in the Bihar government answered her. Amarendra Singh said that farmers are given receipts for purchasing paddy, on which they have signed. Money is sent to their account through DBT. However, Shreyashi was not satisfied with the Minister's reply and said that the solution to the farmers' problem is not coming out. Due to not having a confirmed receipt, farmers are facing problems in payment. They are getting less money. A surety receipt should be arranged. The disturbances in the paddy purchase in Jamui should be investigated. The Opposition also supported the issue raised by Shreyashi and demanded action by the Agriculture Minister Amarendra Pratap Singh to investigate. Even before this, Shreyashi was seen debating issues related to playing in the House with Tejaswi. At that time, Tejashwi reminded her of school days.
