New Delhi: The next Lok Sabha elections in the country are going to be held in 2024, but BJP has started preparations for it from now on. The focus of the BJP is to strengthen its ground in the 144 Lok Sabha seats where it had to face defeat in 2019. The organization's general secretary BL Santosh gave a presentation on the plan, which includes a massive public relations campaign for union ministers. In the first phase, the party will collect complete information about these 144 Lok Sabha seats and the assembly seats falling under them. According to the BJP, the party will strengthen the booths in these seats. The BJP will deploy three-tier leaders to work on these seats in the coming 18 months. First, there will be a central committee, which will consist of national leaders who will monitor the entire programme. Secondly, a State Committee will implement the schemes on the ground. Third, a cluster committee with Union ministers will be directly involved in monitoring the activities and coordination between the central and state committees. Under the programme, the party's organisational in-charge will spend one night every 15 days in every parliamentary seat. The in-charges of each Lok Sabha constituency will spend one night in every assembly segment falling under the Lok Sabha seat in the first two months. Later, for the night stay, he will work weekly for the Lok Sabha in-charge. The responsibility of the Lok Sabha team will be to gather data based on issues in caste, and party's pros and cons. Along with this, a dossier will be made highlighting the weak assembly constituencies, election forecast and caste equation. The team will also keep an eye on the party's candidates for these 144 seats. The party has also planned a month-to-month campaign in constituencies of opposition-ruled states. Special media in-charges will be appointed for each Lok Sabha seat. The team will also be entrusted with the task of convincing the local media houses who are against the BJP. The social media team will be given a target to increase at least 50,000 followers in each of these 144 Lok Sabha seats by December this year.
