The BMW iX electric SUV, which debuted in India earlier this month, now boasts an official EPA range of 521 kilometres on a single charge. In India, the electric SUV, which comes in two models named xDrive40 and xDrive50, will compete with luxury electric cars such as the Mercedes EQC, Audi etron, and Jaguar iPace. The Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA, is a federal agency in the United States that assesses the energy efficiency of electric vehicles. The iX electric SUV's xDrive40 model, according to BMW, has a maximum range of 425 kilometres on a single charge. The xDrive50 model has a range of nearly a hundred kilometres on a single charge. The approved range, on the other hand, is significantly shorter than BMW's prior claim of 611 kilometres. When driven on a set of 20-inch wheels, the iX XDrive50 can return a range of 324 miles (521) kilometres, according to EPA ratings. If the wheel size is changed to 21 inches or 22 inches, the range ranges between 491 and 507 kilometres. Two electric motors mounted on the front and rear axles provide power to the BMW iX. A dual-motor all-wheel-drive system is powered by a 111.5 kWh battery pack. The electric SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in less than 6 seconds and reach a top speed of 200 kilometres per hour. The BMW iX xDrive 40 has a maximum output of 326 horsepower and peak torque of 630 Nm. The xDrive 50, on the other hand, has a power output of 523 horsepower and a peak torque of 765 Nm.The BMW iX can charge faster than other electric vehicles. The electric SUV can be charged up to 80% in half an hour using a 150 kW DC fast charger, compared to a little more than an hour using a 50 kW DC charger, according to the German automaker. The iX SUV can be fully charged in around seven hours using a standard 11 kW AC charger.
