BMW has unveiled its new X3 with many core changes in the design and features which will go on floor by the end of this year in the International market and by the mid of 2018 in the Indian market. The new X3 comes in six variants X drive 30D, X drive 20D, M40I, X drive 30I, X drive 20I and S drive 20I with an option of two diesel and four petrol engines. It is powered by a range of engines that includes a strong 355bhp 3.0-litre petrol – it should offer good levels of the economy as well as exceptional performance. The entire X3 sits on a new platform, meaning that it is now 61mm longer, 17mm wider and 16mm higher than the car it replaces. Despite these increases, it is in fact lighter than the outgoing X3, and offers a perfect 50:50 weight distribution. BMW has worked hard to improve the refinement levels of the X3, fitting more sound deadening than before and using acoustic-glass which, according to the German manufacturer, helps reduce wind noise levels.
