Bathinda: Despite heavy police security in the city on the special occasion of Republic Day, electrician Jagjit Singh was killed near the Zilla Parishad by unidentified persons on Tuesday night. After executing the incident, the culprit escaped from the spot. Police, who reached the spot on Wednesday morning, sent the body to civil hospital for post-mortem. According to reports, 60-year-old Jagjit Singh worked as an electrician of cars near the Zilla Parishad. When he did not reach home on Tuesday night, his family members started looking for him, but when he was not found, the family members were also upset. When the family reached near the shop looking for Jagjit Singh, they found the body of Jagjit, soaked in blood. Police, who rushed to the spot after getting information about the incident, rushed the body to the civil hospital for post-mortem and initiated action into the incident.
