Following the threat, the Mumbai Police registered a case at the Mata Ramabai Marg (MRA Marg) police station against an unidentified individual. The Zone 1 Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) acknowledged the threat, mentioning, "An email containing a bomb warning was sent to the official website of the Reserve Bank of India." The email, written in Russian, warned to blow up the bank. A case has been filed against unknown accused, and investigations are underway."
String of Threats Targeting Schools
This incident coincides with a wave of bomb threats targeting schools in Delhi. On the same day, six schools received threatening emails, prompting multi-agency security checks. Earlier, on December 9, at least 44 schools in the national capital had received similar threats, which were later declared hoaxes by the authorities.

Upon receiving the threats, the fire department, police, and bomb detection teams, along with dog squads, promptly reached the affected schools to conduct safety checks. School authorities swiftly informed parents, urging them not to send their children to school or to pick them up if they had already arrived.
