Maharashtra Government's Early Bird Benefit Scheme has been extended till March 31, 2022, for select electric vehicle buyers. This scheme has already ended on December 31, 2021. Under this scheme, only 2 models in the 4-wheeler segment - Tata Nexon EV (Tata Nexon EV) and Tigor EV (Tigor EV) seem to be benefiting. Under this scheme of the Government of Maharashtra, a discount of Rs 1 lakh is being given on the purchase of these two electric cars. Due to which the total exemption including the exemption under the EV policy has reached Rs 2.5 lakh. Tata Nexon EV: The Tata Nexon EV is being provided with a lithium-ion liquid-cooled battery pack of 30.2 kWh. The electric motor is generating strong power of 127bhp and torque of 245Nm. The company claims that the electric SUV once full charging provides a driving range of up to 312 km. The price of the ex-showroom of this electric SUV starts at Rs 13.99 lakh which can go up to Rs 16.56 lakh. Tigor EV: Available at the price of an initial ex-showroom worth Rs 11.99 lakh Tigor EV 2021. This has made it the cheapest electric car in the market. The 2021 Tigor EV electric motor is generating 73.75 hp of power and 170 Nm of torque. Tigor EV has a certified range of 306 km ARAI on a single charge. This car is getting IP67 with a rated 26 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Whose battery can be charged up to 80% in about an hour with a fast charger.
