Botswana death toll surpass 100

 Coronavirus has affected the world to a great extent. It is wreaking havoc in Botswana. The nation's death toll from COVID-19 has reached 105, an official said on Thursday evening. 

Mosepele, deputy coordinator of the Presidential Taskforce for COVID-19 shared the numbers. It reported 17 new deaths, adding that the task force has detected a high infection and mortality rate since the beginning of the year. Mosepele said that the increment in the number of new cases is largely attributed to people travelling during the holiday period. It shows that people are not complying with COVID-19 health regulations during the holidays as they gather in large numbers.

The number of corona cases in the nation. The US remains the worst-hit country with 24,988,890, followed by India, Brazil, Russia and the United Kingdom. However, it terms of the total number of active cases, US tops the charts, followed by France, UK, Brazil and Belgium. As far as India is recorded, the nation has reported  15,277 fresh cases of the coronavirus disease. The total number of active cases in the country has fallen to 193,650, while the caseload tally stands at 10,611,719.
