Box office collection: Karan Kapadia's Blank records minimal growth

Karan Kapadia and Sunny Deol starrer Blank has hit the screens on Friday and opened with a little less than a crore figure of Rs 97 lakhs. The film saw a slight  growth on its second day and bagged Rs 1.17 crore on Saturday.

NotedTrade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the figures on his Twitter handle: He Tweeted, "#Blank witnesses minimal growth on Day 2... The 2-day total remains extremely low... Fri 97 lakhs, Sat 1.17 cr. Total: ₹ 2.14 cr [1255 screens / 4015 shows per day]. India biz."

Blank film opened in 1255 screens across the country. Blank features a special song, Ali Ali, featuring Akshay Kumar and Karan Kapadia. Karan Kapadia, plays an antagonist in his debut, which is about a suicide bomber and a cop, played by Sunny Deol.

In an interview Karan revealed that acting was always on his agenda. He said, "I had decided that I will act in films when I was 11. At 15, I started working towards it. I dropped out of a BMM course. I had thought about going to New York and studying acting in a film school but things did not work out. Karan further said, "I went for auditions but they are tricky as you don't get the parts you want to do. I was assessing my options on what to do next. I had even thought of going to south for auditions."
