BREAKING! 13 wagons of goods train derail in Bihar, none injured

BIHAR: In breaking news, it is officially reported on Thursday, February 23,  that Thirteen wagons of a goods train derailed on a dedicated freight corridor between New Karwandia and New Sonnagar railway stations in Bihar's Rohtas district.

The mishap took place near Sita Vigaha village when 13 empty wagons of the goods train jumped off the tracks at 9.55 pm on Wednesday, a senior East Central Railway officer said.

"No one was injured in the incident, Both lines of the dedicated freight corridor near Chiraila Pauthu station were blocked. The tracks were cleared of obstruction and the upline traffic was restored at 10.15 am today. The down line would be fit for traffic by this evening,'' the official said.

The exact cause of the derailment is yet to be ascertained, the official added.
