Breaking: Tech Glitch Forces Ranchi-bound Indigo Flight Return to Delhi

New Delhi: In a sudden turn of events, an Indigo flight destined for Ranchi had to return to Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport in Delhi just an hour after take-off on a Saturday morning due to a technical snag, as per the official statement.

A passenger on board the flight disclosed that the pilot of Indigo flight number 6E-2172 alerted everyone mid-air about the technical issue and promptly announced that the flight would return to the IGI airport.

The aircraft had taken off from the national capital at approximately 7:40 am and made its way back to Delhi by 8:20 am. During the course of the flight, the Indigo crew assured the passengers that arrangements were being made for another aircraft to take over, but they were advised that it would take some time.

As of now, the airline has not issued an immediate statement regarding the incident. This unexpected event comes on the heels of another incident on Friday when a Delhi-bound flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Patna due to a malfunction in one of its engines. The aircraft, identified as Indigo Flight 6E 2433, reported an inoperative engine merely three minutes after take-off and managed to make a safe landing at 09:11 hours, as confirmed by airport authorities.
