As Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Chinese President Xi Jinping yesterday in BRICS summit, this meeting was about the Doklam border stand-off and works towards normalizing the relationship. PM Narendra Modi and President Xi Jinping wanted peace and friendly behavior between the two countries. The meeting was scheduled before PM Modi heads off to Myanmar. And just before Modi landed in rain-soaked Xiamen on the south-eastern coast of China, Xi words was in the BRICS summit they need peace and deployment, not conflict and confrontation. In BRICS summit there were Brazil's President Michel Temer and South African President Jacob Zuma along with some Indian diplomats and officials. China has also invited Egypt, Kenya, Tajikistan, Mexico as a special guest in their BRICS summit, like India called BIMSTEC leaders in BRICKS summit which was held in Goa last year.
