BSNL launched an app to use landlines for making calls via mobiles

Now BSNL customer will be able to connect their landlines through mobile and make calls through them without attracting ISD charges. The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) launch an application through which their customer can get the comfort of connecting their mobile and landlines on Thursday. The mobile telephony service to be start from April 2, it will also attract monthly charge.

BSNL's another facility, fixed mobile convergence that was unveiled on Thursday, will enable customers to connect up to four devices, mobile and fixed line phones with each other to send and receive calls, call forwarding etc on any of these devices.

The company also launched pre-paid facility for landline phones. BSNL is also upgrading its 27,000 telephone exchanges across the country with next generation technology from C-DOT which it expects to complete by March 2018.
