New Delhi: The Central Government has called an all-party meeting for January 31 at 3 p.m. to debate the Budget Session. On the same day, the Budget Session will begin with the President's remarks at 11 a.m., followed by the laying of the Economic Survey. On February 1, 2022, the Union Budget will be unveiled. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi convened the all-party meeting to consult with the opposition on matters they want to debate during the session, while the government will brief them on the agenda and legislative business they would likely be dealing with over the next year. The last two sessions of Parliament have been tumultuous, with the Monsoon Session being completely wiped out because to the opposition's demand on a Pegasus debate. The opposition's demand for the resignation of Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Mishra Teni, whose son is currently in jail for allegedly mowing down protesting farmers, wiped out the Winter Session. The first portion of the Budget Session will take place from January 31 to February 11, while the second part will begin on March 14 and go until April 8.
