Budget Session Live: Prez lauds govt's steps to deal with infra challenges

NEW DELHI: The government has developed the PM Gati-Shakti National Master Plan and made tangible actions, said President Droupadi Murmu, to address the issues of infrastructure development.

The PM Gati-Shakti National Master Plan has received positive feedback from the states and union territories as well, and she said that this will increase multimodal connectivity throughout the nation.

"Over the past two decades, we have observed two key difficulties in India's infrastructure development. First of all, significant infrastructure projects could not be finished on schedule. Second, several agencies and governments operated at their own convenience," the President said. This, she added, not only resulted in the misuse of government resources and time overruns but also led to inconvenience to the common man.
