Dubai: There were 8Indians were among the 17 people who died in the Dubai bus crash on Friday. The incident took place on Thursday when the driver of the bus with a Omani number plate carried a vehicle on the road leading to the Al-Raashidelivered metro station which is banned for buses. The tourist bus was carrying 31 people, according to Gulf News. It collided with a barrier. It damaged its left side, causing the death of passengers sitting on the left. In a tweet, it said, "the Commerce envoy met with other officials and community members late at night with the families of the deceased and also spoke to the hospital and police officers and assured all possible assistance." The consulate has said that the names of the Indians who died were Rajagopalan , Feroz Khan Pathan, Reshma Feroz Khan Pathan, Deepak Kumar, Jamaluddin Arkkawetil, Kiran Johny, Vasudeva and Tilkram are Jawahar Thakur.
