New Delhi: A massive fire was reported in a bus with a Northern Macedonian number plate (North Macedonian plates) on a highway in the western part of Bulgaria on Tuesday. At least 45 people have been reported killed in the fire incident. Young children are among those who die. Seven people who suffered burn injuries have been admitted to a hospital in the capital Sofia for treatment. Nikolai Nikolovi, head of the fire safety department in the Ministry of Home Affairs, has informed BTV television in this regard. It has been reported that north Macedonia's people were among the dead. Nikolai Nikolovi said at least 45 people have lost their lives due to a fire in a bus. He said the fire took place at 2 pm local time. An official at the Embassy of North Macedonia in Sofia reported that most of the victims were citizens of North Macedonia. The official said the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. It is not known whether the fire broke out before or after the bus accident. At present, the site of the accident was sealed.
