New Delhi: Olympic silver medal winner world champion PV Sindhu has credited the country's new foreign badminton coach for winning the world championship. Sindhu said that the suggestion of new badminton coach Kim Ji Hyun has helped her a lot. Sindhu recently defeated BWF World Championship Okuhara. Asked how Kim's advice had an impact on her game, Sindhu said, "It certainly has a lot of impacts because he has been with me for the last few months." PV Sindhu said that "there were some changes in his mind and I think it helped a lot. We worked on it, of course under the guidance of Gopi sir it was very good. My skills have increased a lot and can still improve a lot". Sindhu was honoured by the Sahara India family for her achievements. When asked if the defeat against Okuhara in 2017 final was on her mind, Sindhu said that "it was not so. She said, 'No, I do not think that something like this was going on in my mind and at the same time I was very positive. This was a new match for me. We played a few matches after that and it was a new match for me".
