CAA: Violence and anger of miscreants erupts again in Uttar Pradesh

On Saturday, there was generally peace in other states, including Delhi, in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), while in Uttar Pradesh, violent incidents occurred in many districts despite the stern stance of the state government. Violence also occurred in Bihar on the call for a statewide bandh. During the protest at Phulwarisharif in Patna, two sides clashed, in which 12 people were injured, in which the condition of 2 is serious.

Rampur Sulag arose in Uttar Pradesh. The miscreants targeted the police with arson in vehicles, by throwing stones and firing. After 2 deaths in the violence erupted in Kanpur on Friday, miscreants attacked the Yatimkhana police post on Saturday afternoon also threw petrol and bombs. The miscreants burned 2 bikes and 2 cars parked outside the Yatimkhana outpost. A soldier is shot in the shoulder, while a constable is also injured in the stone-pelting.

In his statement, ADG Premprakash said that Arya Nagar MLA Abhithabh Vajpayee and former MLA Kamlesh Diwakar have been arrested on charges of instigating the mob and joining the force. The condition of 2 of the 13 people injured in the shooting on Friday remains critical. Another youth injured in firing died in Firozabad on Friday. In Meerut, a person hospitalized died due to violence. So far 5 died in Meerut, 2 died in Bijnor and 1 in Muzaffarnagar.
