Saturday, a local court sentenced to death punishment to a man for abducting, sodomy and murder of a minor in 2012. Additional District and Sessions Judge (V) Jyoti Swarup Srivastava convicted and awarded capital punishment to Manish Mandal alias Nepali Mandal under various sections of IPC i.e. 302 (for murder), 377 (for unnatural sex) and 364 (kidnapping or abducting in order to murder). Also, fined Rs 5000 to the convict on two counts under section 377 and 364 of IPC.
