Cara Delevingne reveals her sexuality journey on 'Planet Sex'

LOS ANGELES: Hollywood Actress Cara Delevingne battles to be open about her sexuality and has experienced homophobia.

The "Suicide Squad" actor, who identifies as queer and gender fluid, said she was on a "very personal journey" into her sexuality in an interview for her new six-part series, "Planet Sex," in which she also claimed that she has been barred from living a "queer" existence due to overcoming her shame.

When discussing her sexuality in episode two, which is titled "Delevingne responded when asked, "Out and Proud?", "I'm on a very personal journey into my own sexuality. I've been in relationships with both men and women, as you may or may not be aware. But I still find it difficult to be completely honest about how much I adore women." "I grew up feeling a lot of shame and believing that what I was doing wasn't human or normal. My sexuality fluctuates, although I would say that I lean more toward the female end of the spectrum. Although I don't date men, I enjoy having sex with them. I could be, you never know "She said.

Delevingne continued by stating that she dislikes "labels" for her sexuality and that she has struggled to overcome her "internalised guilt" in order to live a "queer" existence.

She added, "Although I've always espoused the notion of avoiding labels, I've spent a lot of time declaring that I'm bisexual and pansexual. I'm queer; I can tell you that with absolute certainty; I'm not sure what else to say." "Because of my internalised shame and homophobia, I haven't been able to live a queer life. I never lived in the community. Yes, I came out, but I didn't attend Pride, go to these events, or meet these people. My queerness never came into being. I'm pretty late to the party. Now that I have more LGBTQ pals."

Cara said in the 4th episode of her show she is a "she right now", but "I also like dressing up as a man and being a 'he.'" She said, "You don't have to put so much pressure on yourself about what you are, who you are. Whether it's masculine and feminine - it's just who I am."
