Tamil Nadu: On Monday, the 48-hour ‘Rail Roko’ was commenced by the various farmer’s organizations in Tiruchi and delta district. Farmer’s also demanded the constitution of Cauvery Management Board. The support was given by the opposition parties, including the DMK by participating in the agitation. Also, police detained Former DMK Minister K.N. Nehru after attempting a blockade at Srirangam Railway Station. It was said by the officials that, “there were no disruption of rail services”.
