Agriculture Minister Tomar will hold press conference in evening amid Farmers' protest

New Delhi: The government's initiative on the farmers' movement has not yielded any specific results. The farmers have rejected the government's proposal outright. The deadlock between the farmers and the government remains the same. If the farmers are adamant on repealing the agricultural laws, then the government is not able to move ahead with the assurance of amendment. Meanwhile, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will appeal to agitated farmers today.

Sources said that Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will urge farmers to accept the government's proposal and end the agitation today. He will also hold a press conference at 4 pm today. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that do not fall prey to fake and misleading news and rumours being spread about the new agricultural laws. Javadekar said that the operations of APMC mandis will continue and not a single APMC mandi has been closed since the passage of new agricultural laws. 

The farmers say that till the three laws are repealed, the movement will not stop. On December 14, there will be a big agitation, farmers will protest in the whole country. Demonstrations will continue every day across the country against the new laws. By December 12, Jaipur-Delhi highway will be completely closed. BJP MLAs, MPs, ministers will be surrounded and Boycott.
