New Delhi: The Modi government at the Center is working on all kinds of efforts to overcome the recession. The government is taking many big decisions to revive the industry business due to the ongoing recession in the country. The government aims to invest in infrastructure in this episode. The government has formed a task force for this. It will identify projects on which 100 lakh crore is to be spent. The government has set a target of spending 100 lakh crores on infrastructure by the year 2024-25 to become a five-trillion dollar economy. The task force is headed by the Secretary of Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Finance. This task force will prepare a 'National Infrastructure Pipeline'. This amount will be invested only on the projects involved in the pipeline. These include greenfield and brownfield projects costing Rs 100 crore. The task force includes secretaries of various ministries, other senior officials and the CEO of NITI Aayog as members. This team of senior bureaucrats will identify the technical possibilities and financial and economic viability of the projects. Under this, such projects will be selected which can be started in the year 2019-20. Also, projects that can be included in the period from FY 2020-21 to 2024-25 will be identified. This will create a pipeline of infrastructure projects in the country. In his address to Lal Quila on Independence Day, PM Modi had announced an investment of Rs 100 lakh crore on infrastructure in five years. This will include both social and economic infrastructure projects. A few days ago, Nitin Gadkari has spoken of huge investment in this sector.
