Centre should share vaccine manufacturing formula, fix vaccine prices: Satyendra Jain

New Delhi: The country's capital Delhi is witnessing a slight decline in the number of new corona cases. But Delhi is facing a shortage of corona vaccine. The state government has been continuously targeting the Centre over the shortage of vaccine. Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain on Thursday said that if global tenders are required for procurement of corona vaccine, the central government should issue it instead of the state.

Satyendra Jain further said that there is very little availability of vaccine in the capital. The covacsin takriban is over. While 2 to 3 days of covichild is left. Satyendra Jain has said that there are three vaccines in the country, covaccine, covichild and sputnik. We can only purchase covichilds, covaccins and Sputnik-V in the country. If global tender is required, it should be done by the Central Government.

He requested the Centre to share the Covacin formula of Bharat Biotech so that other companies can meet the vaccine shortage in the country by making coronavirus vaccines. Jain also said the central government should fix the prices of all covid vaccines. The Centre should fix the prices of all vaccines and it should not exceed Rs.150 per dose.
