Modi government's big gift to central employees, salary increased so much in one stroke

New Delhi: The Central government has given a big gift to millions of central government employees ahead of the start of the new financial year. In fact, the GOVERNMENT led by PM Narendra Modi has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) of central employees. This time da hike has been increased by 3 percent. In fact, the central government has announced to increase the DA by 3 percent.

A final decision in this regard was taken at the Union Cabinet meeting. The benefit of the increased dearness allowance will be available to all central employees from January 01, 2022. The government has now decided to give a 34 percent dearness allowance to employees and pensioners. Earlier, there was a provision of 31 percent,  and central employees will get an increased share of DA in the salary next month. Along with this, in the month of April, the employees will also be given their full arrears for the last three months. 

After the 3 percent hike in dearness allowance, central employees will get the benefit of arrears ranging from Rs 73,440 to Rs 2,32,152 to Rs 20. According to an estimate, the increase in dearness allowance will result in an additional burden of Rs 10,000 crore annually on the exchequer of the government. This component has been added to the salary/pension of government employees and pensioners to save them from the impact of inflation.
