New Delhi: The Centre's Modi government has given a big gift to government employees ahead of Diwali-Dussehra. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in a press that the epidemic has affected the economy. Two proposals have been submitted to increase demand in the economy. The first is the LTC Cash Voucher Scheme and the second is the Special Festival Advance Scheme. Under the Special Festival advance scheme, rs. 10,000/-will be given to government employees as advance. Also, the employees will be paid ticket fares in ITC in cash. Sitharaman said ITC cash voucher scheme and special festival advance scheme will be launched. Money will be paid in advance for LTC expenditure to encourage demand. The government will spend Rs 5,675 crore on cash for LTC. 1,900 crore will be provided to PSUs and banks. With this, 10,000 rupees will be given to government employees as festival advance. So that government employees have money for shopping at the moment of festivals. The epidemic adversely affected the economy. The needs of the poor and weaker sections were met through several announcements of the government. The supply constraint was reduced but consumer demand still needs to be encouraged.
