Kolkata: Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has accused West Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee of cheating on people in the name of development, saying many people are forced to remain homeless because of their stubbornness. Not only that, he has alleged that Mamata has cheated people in the name of development. Shekhawat had said this while campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the North 24 Parganas district from door to door. He has said that many people are forced to remain homeless because of her (Banerjee) stubbornness. Not only that, Banerjee has deprived the poor of the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which has compelled people to live in kutcha houses, Shekhawat said. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has further said that the Mamata Banerjee government has duped people in the name of development in the last ten years. In the meantime, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was campaigning from house to house in Bengal and in the meantime he attacked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The political turmoil over the assembly elections in Bengal has intensified and this has triggered a series of allegations and counter - allegations in the TMC and the BJP.
