New Delhi: Union Minister of Environment Prakash Javadekar on Thursday listed three major causes of pollution in Delhi. He said that cold, water vapor and dust are the three biggest causes of pollution in the Himalayas in Delhi, while despite the same number of Delhi's population, garbage and vehicles, pollution levels in cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai remains extremely low compared to Delhi. He said that we have to understand why this happens. This is because there is no dust and the air is constantly moving in those areas, it is not in Delhi. So we have to fix Delhi by working more hard. Today, once again, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) issued instructions to the Delhi State Industrial Development Corporation, Delhi Public Works Department, Delhi Jal Board and the Central Government's CPWD, DDA, Delhi Metro and NHAI, stating their respective construction sites. But urged to take steps for dust management. Javadekar further said that by properly managing dust, pollution can be controlled to a great extent. I think that all agencies will work together in dust management because everybody has to fight this war together and it will be relief for Delhi only by everyone's efforts.
