Chamomile tea can increase lifespan of women, know-how

Although a cup of tea a day is considered good for health, new researches have shown that chamomile tea may increase the lifespan of women. Chamomile is an ancient plant, used in many medicinal treatments. One study has shown that chamomile intake is more beneficial for women. Regular intake of chamomile reduces the risk of untimely death in women.

It is also helpful in women undergoing demographic factors, adjusting to health conditions and health behaviors, whereas this effect is not seen in men. Professor Brett Howry of the Medical Branch of the University of Texas in the US said, "The reason for the difference between women and men is not clear in our report, but it has been seen that women have more chamomile than men."  The researchers, during their seven-year study, studied the effects of chamomile and causes of death among Mexican-Americans and found that 1,677 women and men who drink chamomile live more than 65 years of age. Researchers, however, said that it was not clear what the relationship between chamomile intake and mortality was.

Recent research has shown that chamomile intake is helpful in the treatment of hyperglycemia, stomach upset, obesity problem, and nervousness. Chamomile is also considered to be an effective cholesterol control, antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antiplatelet. The research is published in the journal The Gerontologist Oxford.
