Cairo: Egyptian archaeologists have found some pieces of 2,600-year-old white paneer in a cemetery. These pieces of paneer have been found from an earthen pot. Let us know that, a few days ago, archaeologists also found a 4500-year-old Sun Temple in an excavation. Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has said that a team of archaeologists found these pieces of paneer during excavation at the Sakkara cemetery on September 10. The pottery in which the pieces of paneer have been found has something written on them in an ancient Demotic script of Egypt. A study by the Department of Archaeology has revealed that the paneer pieces belong to the 26th and 27th dynasties, i.e. between about 525 and 688 BC. This paneer (Halloumi paneer) is traditional Cypriot paneer made from a mixture of goat and sheep milk or sometimes cow's milk. It has a high melting point, so it can be easily fried or grilled. Archaeologists believe that this is paneer that can be used as a substitute for meat. Its taste is said to be a little salty. According to the report, apart from paneer pottery, several other containers have also been found in the excavation. However, those containers have not been opened yet. But, soon those containers will also be opened. Dr Mustafa Waziri, secretary general of Egypt's Supreme Council of Archaeology, has said that ancient Egyptians used to call halloumi paneer 'Haram.' However, during the Coptic period, the name changed to 'Halloum' and eventually to 'Halloumu Paneer'. The world's oldest paneer:- Paneer from pottery in Egypt's Sakkara cemetery is not the oldest ever. In 2018, researchers found a 'solid white paneer' in the cemetery of Pathams. It was 3200 years old. That paneer was called the world's oldest paneer and there was also talk of consuming it and finding out its taste. However, experts had advised not to test that paneer. Experts said that this paneer can be surrounded by serious diseases, so eating it will not be right for anyone. A 4,500-year-old sun temple was also found in Egypt:- Recently, an ancient sun temple was also found in Egypt. This Sun Temple is said to be about 4500 years old. Archaeologists looked at the remains found in the temple and speculated that it was a sun temple that may date back to the fifth kingdom of ancient Egypt (2465 to 2323 BC). Earlier too, some such remains were recovered in Egypt, which was also being called Sun Temples.
