Indian food is one of the most flavorful and vibrant cuisines in the world. The cuisine and the food at Dhaba Estd 1986 since the time of its inception has been inspired from the roadside Dhabas starting from New Delhi to Amritsar highway. The inspiration has been taken from these Dhabas and the similar concepts from the by lanes and hidden gems from Amritsar, Ludhiana, Ambala, Bhatinda and so on… As a ritual, our chefs at Dhaba Estd 1986 travel on the same stretch in search of new developments in the cuisine and bring back the inspiration for our patrons at Dhabas all across. This menu is the result of a recently concluded trip by our team which spent a weeks’ time travelling on the highways day and night, eating, observing, and assimilating new ideas and concepts. Here are some suggestions for a road trip menu to experience the flavors of Indian highway. Start off the meal with Navrattan Kebab, a crispy Vermicelli Jhinga “Prawn”. The Prawns are marinated in a mixture of homemade spices and Mint sauce, then fried to perfection. Next, tantalize your taste buds with a dish of Garden-fresh Methi malai matar and enjoy another side of Saag Gosht, this time in a comforting saag. This dish of mustard leaf and cubes of smooth, tender Mutton has a creamy texture and is perfectly balanced with cumin and a hint of Garam masala. Finish off the meal with the indulgent Gajar ka halwa. This winter menu celebrates all of the vibrant Flavors of Indian Highway cuisine!
