VV Vagisan, an engineering student from Chennai, has also ordered to issue a legal notice to the makers of Tamil movie 'Amaran'. He has also appealed for Rs 1.1 crore as compensation for the trouble caused by the accusation of his personal mobile number in the movie. The uproar started after the student's number was shown in a scene of this movie starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, which released on October 31, 2024, after which many fans started calling it thinking it to be Sai Pallavi's number. Back-to-back calls on Diwali: Reports say that the incident happened when Vagisan was celebrating Diwali with his family. Suddenly, his phone started receiving multiple calls from the same number. He was initially confused to see the phone ringing continuously. He muted the calls, but the next day the interruptions increased. After listening to the voice messages, he found out that his number was shown in a key scene of the movie 'Amaran'. Viewers misled: Reports say that after seeing the phone number in the movie, viewers started believing that it was Sai Pallavi's number. Then people started calling the number back to back. Due to which Vagisan's daily routine started getting seriously disrupted. The student shared, 'I cannot sleep, study or even use essential services like booking a cab without any interruption.' Student VV Vagisan demands compensation: According to reports, Vagisan initially tagged the film's director Rajkumar Periyasamy and lead actor Sivakarthikeyan on social media and sought their help. However, after receiving no response from the movie makers, he decided to take legal action. Through his lawyer, Vagisan demanded that his phone number be removed from the movie and that he be given Rs 1.1 crore as compensation for the hardships and mental agony he suffered. Waiting for response from producers: Not only this, the student clarified that he will not change his number as it is linked to important documents like Aadhaar and bank details. The producer and director of the movie are yet to respond to the legal notice, while Vaageesan will have to face continuous calls.
